Year 6
The teachers in Year 6 are Mrs Pearson and Mrs Hewitt. Mrs Omelia teaches humanities on Wednesday afternoons. Our teaching assistants, Mrs Bulley, Mrs Kelly, Mrs Marandola and Miss Smith support us with our learning each day.
Year 6 is an important year, when the children are preparing to move on to secondary school. As a result, the children take on extra responsibilities: helping in other classes, taking on jobs around the school, and leading pupil voice groups. They become more independent and concentrate on how they can become even better learners.
During the year, the children take part in many exciting events. In the summer term, they go on a school journey, undertake bikeability and perform in an end of year production, to name but a few things.
In Year 6 we work hard, and we make sure that we have fun too!
