• Chorleywood Achieve School Games PLATINUM Mark Award for 2023/24

  We are delighted to announce that Chorleywood Primary have achieved the School Games PLATINUM Mark Award for the 2023/24 academic year.
   
  The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
   
  With a record number of young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.
   
  As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

• Nursery Applications Are Open - Apply From 1st February To 8th March

  The application process for nursery places at Chorleywood Primary School for admission in September 2024 opened on February 1st 2024 and runs until 9am on the 8th March 2024.

• Chorleywood Primary School pupils raise hundreds within 24 hours for Ukraine

   Three Chorleywood girls have raised more than £700 in 24 hours for the people of Ukraine.

  Maggie Smith, Gigi Hickey and Mia Ford, all Year 5 pupils at Chorleywood Primary School, will dust off their running shoes and tackle a 5k fundraiser around the area on Sunday (March 13).

   

  Mia’s mum Angela said: "They have come up with this idea on their own and have never run anything close to 5k before so it will be a big challenge for them.

  "The route will be around Chorleywood so if you live locally and see them running past please give them a cheer!"

   

  Maggie's mum Liz added: "I'm really proud that the girls decided to do something to help other people and I think it's a great example of what young girls can achieve when they put their minds to something."

  All money raised will go directly to DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal run by ActionAid.
