Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education
From September 2020, it was a statutory requirement that all schools in England and Wales are to teach Relationship and Sex Education as a fundamental part of the curriculum. This is something that has always been incorporated in our curriculum at Chorleywood Primary School, even before this date.
As part of implementing the RSE curriculum, schools must consult with the children, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content. This was planned for the spring term last year, however, was not completed due to the pandemic.
Our consultation process started on 26th March 2021; the consultation with all stakeholders will close on Friday 23rd April 2021. However, parent questionnaires will need to be completed by 16TH April.
